How we fight for birds

Audubon is a respected and influential voice on public policy issues, from town halls to the U.S. Capitol. We have the power to convene diverse stakeholders to solve even the toughest problems related to climate change—like sea-level rise and energy planning for a fossil fuel-free future.

Our Audubon in Washington network includes nearly 50,000 members and 25 chapters covering every legislative district in the state. Through direct contact with decision-makers, conservation campaigning, and coalition-building, we bring the full power of Audubon to bear on behalf of legislation addressing issues such as bird conservation, ecosystem restoration, and clean air and water. As we work together to advance our shared vision across Washington, Audubon is poised to become an even more powerful advocate for birds, conservation, and the environment.
