Birds Mean Business Cards
"Birds Mean Business" cards are designed to show businesses and municipalities that bird watchers are contributing to the local economy. Birders are encouraged to leave the cards with local businesses, municipal officials and Chambers of Commerce in the places they visit. See Audubon New York's press release about their Birds Mean Business campaign.
This link contains examples of two types of Birds Mean Business cards that your Chapter can use as templates for creating its own bird business cards.

BirdCast
The Cornell Lab of Ornithology's BirdCast will allow, for the first time, real-time predictions of bird migrations: when they migrate, where they migrate, and how far they will be flying.
Offset Your Carbon Footprint
Here's an example of one chapter's efforts to mitigate their carbon footprint during those loooong distance field trips or rare bird exploits. It's completely voluntary and the funds go back to conserve bird habitat!
