This center features a freshwater wetland including a pond that provides a scenic and biologically rich oasis in the midst of a rapidly growing urban area. It includes a gravel pathway, native plant interpretive trail, a wetland viewing area, hands-on resources, and a nature store. Through the Adriana Hess Audubon Center and throughout Pierce County, staff and volunteers provide natural history fieldtrips, classes, camps and programs serving more than 2,000 children and adults each year.

Directions
From I-5 south: Take S. 56th exit to Bridgeport, turn right onto Bridgeport, turn right on W. 27th Street.

Go about 1 block to Morrison Road. Turn right onto Morrison Road (dead end), follow Morrison Road. about two blocks to 2917. Park along the street or within the driveway parking area. Entry is on north side of building.

From I-5 north and Hwy 16 north or south: Turn onto Hwy 16 toward Gig Harbor/Bremerton. Exit on the westbound (second) off-ramp for S. 19th Street; the exit ramp leads you to Orchard Street. Turn right, then turn right again onto S. 19th street. Follow S. 19th to Bridgeport/Jackson. Turn left onto Bridgeport Avenue. Turn left onto W. 27th Street. Follow italicized directions above.

From Gig Harbor/Bremerton: Take Hwy 16, heading east. Take first exit after Narrows Bridge, Jackson Avenue. Turn right onto Jackson, left onto W 27th Street. Follow italicized directions above.
