Birds & Habitat

BirdWeb

BirdWeb is Seattle Audubon Society’s on-line guide to the birds of Washington state.

BirdWeb allows you to obtain information about any bird or group of birds found in Washington, and to learn which of Washington’s birds are threatened or endangered. It contains a special section on rare birds, describing historical sightings.

Like an on-line field ornithology textbook, BirdWeb provides you with information about each of the families of birds in Washington, and contains natural history accounts for all the individual species. These accounts describe the bird, its habitat, range, behavior, diet, nesting habits, migration, and conservation status. They also tell the best times and places to see each species.

BirdWeb is an excellent educational resource for birders of all skill levels.
