Audubon Washington
Board of Stewards
The
Audubon Washington State Board of Stewards was constituted
in the spring of 2002 to expand the capacity of Audubon to
achieve its mission,
and has from 11 to 20 members, active and ex officio. Click

for the January 2008 list of stewards.
Why do they serve? Each offers a personal,
compelling reason.
The stewards assist Audubon in its traditional
roles of science,
conservation
policy, education
and assistance to chapters
– all part of creating a culture of conservation in
the United States. A culture of conservation will enable Audubon
– and American society – to meet current and future
conservation challenges.
The state board of stewards is charged
with specific responsibilities
though ultimate fiduciary responsibility for Audubon Washington
rests with the national board. Five board members represent
chapter
regions; the other members are at-large. |
