HABITAT: 465-acre park w/ old-growth coniferous forest.
BIRDING: Present here are Pacific-slope Flycatchers, Townsend’s and MacGillivray’s Warblers, Western Tanagers, Chestnut-backed Chickadees, Red-breasted Nuthatches, Brown Creepers, Winter Wrens, Golden-crowned Kinglets, Swainson’s and Varied Thrushes, Pine Siskins, and Steller’s Jays.
VIEWING: With most birds high in the forest canopy, this is primarily a birding-by-ear location. 5 miles of trail wind through ancient forest. Spring visits are best.
ACCESS: From Hwy 20 at milepost 96.5, turn north into parking lot.
