| BIRDING: |
Annually, 137 species of birds are found here. In spring, look for Lazuli Buntings, Red-eyed and Warbling Vireos, Veeries, Swainson’s Thrushes, Cassin’s Finches, Cedar Waxwings, and Wood Ducks. Spring through fall, six species of woodpeckers inhabit cottonwoods and aspens along river. |

Three miles of pathways along the Methow River include main trail, Veery Trail, and Redstart Trail. At southern end of main trail, watch for swallows nesting in sandbank. |

From Highway 20 at milepost 185.9, turn south onto Dripping Springs Rd. Drive 0.2 mile, keeping left at Y, into parking lot. |
