HABITAT:
USFS site w/ riparian area and coniferous forest.
BIRDING: Watch for Townsend’s and McGillivray’s Warblers; Hammond’s Flycatchers; Blue and Ruffed Grouse; Hermit Thrushes; Red-breasted and White-breasted Nuthatches; and Mountain Chickadees.
VIEWING:
Several trails lead through the shrubs and cottonwood trees by War Creek. Campground is open late May-early September.
ACCESS:
From Hwy 20 at milepost 201.5 in town of Twisp, turn west onto Twisp River Rd/Second Ave. Drive 13.8 miles. Turn left (south) into campground.
